About Us

SOAL is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting humanitarian response and development, with a deep understanding of the well-being of the people of Myanmar and an understanding of the local context and current situations that leads to developing customized responses to the most pressing human development challenges.

We partner with civil society organizations and local communities to bring about the positive impact on community development, and to provide Child Protection in Emergencies, Public Health, Lifesaving Health Care, Nutrition, Education, Early Childhood & Education, social and economic development in conflict areas securing our team members safety. We contribute to boost gender equality, gender-based violence, antidiscrimination and human rights and opportunities for the meaningful livelihood of people in Myanmar. We implement this by using research and the actual evidence to design and deliver innovative programs.
